I’m someone who suffers from a big deal of anxiety, so I’ve never had a particular obsession for the future in particular, and even though I like day dreaming, I tend to think over past times... but since I need to take the challenge I’d say I would like to explore Latin America, particularly Chile in some 38 years from now.
This year I turned 38 and that's one of the reasons I would like to see the country by the time I double my age.
A couple of years ago, I learnt through social media that the first President of the Constitutional Convention was a woman and also Mapuche, and also a Language Teacher colleague. Do you remember that episode?
Having witnessed that historic moment - I need to recognize, I never, either as a teen, a college student or even in recent years foresaw a Mapuche woman becoming a leader worldwide! so to me this is just marvellous! - I believe the future will be SO different!
I think things will definitely be different. I don't think there’ll be women or men, I think there’ll be just people, different shapes, different colours but nothing that may be strictly associated with either masculinity or femininity or race.
I think there won’t be much pollution nor consumerism, I wish there are no more wars within this territory, in particular, the wars fought against vernacular cultures.
I do hope there won’t be more silly discrimination nor abuse against women, the queer, or racialized communities, and I certainly believe there will be only green landscapes; because people will hopefully have understood that the Ñuke Mapu (mapuche concept to talk about “Mother-Nature" in its deepest sense) is the temple where we live.
I will be 76 by then, so I guess I will definitely like to stay in this utopian world I like to think about. If the country changes towards that direction I will certainly like to spend my last years in an environment that respects everybody and above all, mother nature.

ResponderEliminara very uncertain future, what will be of Chile in the future or what will be of life in the world, will we continue to be a free nation or will we be in a dictatorship, so many uncertain things
I wish I could be as optimistic about the future... But I also really hope that things are fairer and there isn't discrimination.
ResponderEliminarA world like that sounds wonderful and at the same time inconceivable at the present time. Your words give me a little hope that everything can change at some point and I wish I could see it and be part of that big change.
ResponderEliminarI wish that all were it so, I want to believe it
ResponderEliminarI wish the future were as you say, with no discrimination, pollution nor wars that terrify the entire world.
ResponderEliminarI think everybody wants the same, a future with no discrimination.
ResponderEliminarI hope people will become aware of the things that you said, like war, discrimination or pollution. If we do so, a life in the future will be very hopeful.
ResponderEliminarThat obsession with the future should be a global movement haha there are many of us
ResponderEliminari'm pretty sure that the future will be better for everyone!
ResponderEliminarI hope the future will be better, specially for whose have little siblings or nephews.
ResponderEliminarA very optimistic future that's for sure, and it's only reachable if everyone contributes to it, we could say it's hard, but it is not impossible.
ResponderEliminarI like to think about that too, about a better future.
ResponderEliminarYou have a very optimistic way of looking at the future, seeing how Chile is right now it is difficult for me to see it that way.
ResponderEliminarIt would undoubtedly be a future that most of us aspire to live! I hope we can bring about positive change to come to know a similar future.
ResponderEliminarI really hope the future is as you imagine!
ResponderEliminarHopefully the future will be something similar to what you say or at least we have grown up a little as a society.
ResponderEliminarThe future is uncertain, but I'm afraid to think about it.
ResponderEliminarI really hope that dream of a free world for all people comes true. I can't understand until young people have so close mind.
ResponderEliminarIt's interesting to think about what our country will be like in 2061. I hope it can be better!
ResponderEliminarI share that feeling of anxiety, I also know what it feels to be scared to think about the future and what could come. But i love the idea of what could surprise me in the future, how could Chile be and what changes could have
ResponderEliminarIt almost make mi cry ╥o╥ I've never heard such a positive and beautiful idea of what the future is going to be. I think most people think that the world is lost, but on the other hand, society is becoming more sensitive and empathetic. I rlly wish ur wishes come true.
ResponderEliminarThat is a very hopeful future, I guess if we want to see something like that, we have to make an effort to do our part in the present to achieve it.
ResponderEliminarIt is very interesting how the world changes so fast
ResponderEliminarLet's hope that the future is not so different from what we dreamed of ):
ResponderEliminarIt would be great if the future is that way, I really hope I get to see it!
ResponderEliminarCertainly the future is uncertain. I only hope that a world without difference between people is possible.
ResponderEliminarWell I got soooo late to comment here ;-; Life haven't been easy! But I never heard before of that fact about a mapuche woman in such a context! I totally need to learn more about my own country ;w;
ResponderEliminarYour vision for the future, with inclusivity and environmental respect, is inspiring. Wishing your utopian world becomes a reality!

ResponderEliminarThat future seems really amazing to me, I also hope that discrimination no longer exists and we can live respectfully with each other.
ResponderEliminarI also hope that the future will be better than today, but it seems very difficult.
ResponderEliminarI also hope that in the future there will be no episodes of discrimination.
ResponderEliminarYour vision of a future where people are united beyond gender, race, and harmful divisions is truly inspiring.
ResponderEliminarI too am hopeful for a more inclusive future, with gender equality and respect for nature.
